September Sisters By Jillian Cantor

Abigail Reed and her younger sister Becky are always at each others throats. Their mother calls them The September Sisters, because their birthdays are only a day apart and pretends that they’re best friends. But really, they delight in making each other miserable. Then Becky disappears in the middle of the night, and a torn gold chain with a sapphire heart charm is the only clue to the mystery of her kidnapping. Abby struggles to cope with her own feelings of guilt and loss as she tries to keep her family together. When her world is at its bleakest, Abby meets a new neighbor, Tommy, who is dealing with his own loss, and the two of them discover that love can bloom, even when it's surrounded by thorns.
I loved this book. It really touched my heart. I don't have a sister but I have a really annoying little brother who if this happened to I might be happy at first but then I might start to miss him. There were some parts where I wanted to cry but I couldn't because of where I was reading it (Waiting for my summer school health class) (This was not forced on me)(So Don't think I failed a class and had to take summer school) (I am taking it to be ahead when I start High School in the Fall). I was reading on the staircase in this secret like corner and there were teachers talking and I didn't want them to to know I was there. That was like a side story.
The book has some sad and happy moments in it. That make up a really good book.
Abigail was a great main character. She was sad that her sister was gone but was in a way a little happy. Becky sounded really cute like a sister I would want. She sounded funny and charming but was a tattletale.
So overall this book touches your heart and is happy sad and really good. So I highly reccomend it.

I said she was somewhat happy becuase Abigail and Becky fought a lot. So she was glad she was gone so they didn't fight.
But she wasn't happy because her parents were protecting her a lot and wouldn't let her do things.

It sounds like an interesting book but it would be hard to relate to a main charcter who was in any way 'happy' that their sister turned up missing. I still may try reading it but knowing me, if I can't relate to the main charcter, I can't finish it. We'll see.
By the way, great review. =)
