My Favorite Books of 2013

This year in book has been interesting. First off, I read way less books then I usually do in a year, especially since August.I did read some great books so here I am going to name some of my favorites of this year.

In no particular order, my favorites of 2013 are.........

1. Stealing Parker by Miranda Kenneally

2. Ten by Gretchen McNeil

Not my usual kind of book, but the suspense hooked me and I couldn't stop reading.

3. Just One Day by Gayle Foreman

4. Hysteria by Megan Miranda

5. Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally

6. How Zoe Made Her Dreams (Mostly) Come True by Zoe Stromeyer

So cute, and may actually be my favorite of this year.

7. The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle

8. Radiate by Marley Gibson

I for some reason love stories where people go through a tough time and make it through this in a positive way.

9. The Ruining by Anna Collomore

10. Unremembered by Jessica Brody

Blogoversary: 5th Year Edition

Today is my 5th birthday of my blog. I started my blog when I was in 8th grade back in 2009. I started it after studying and constantly looking at several blogs. They inspired me to create my own blog so I did. That year I constantly posted and after that I kind of quite posting. I still followed blogs but remained absent from blogging.

So I am a senior in high school planning my future but I still follow the same blogs I have for years. I would like to promise I will post more but that's a lie. I am just proud of myself to have stayed in the blogging community for 5 years.

I hope I can continue with my blog and make it better than it is now. But thanks for sticking with me even though I hardly post and like to ramble on.

So to another 5 better years.

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is the time each week when blogger's get to mention books that they can't wait to read but must unfortunately wait a while to read.

My Choice this week is the The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise coming out April 30

In The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise, super-smart, somewhat geeky Audrey McCarthy can’t wait to get out of high school. Her father’s death and the transformation of her one-time BFF, Blake Dawkins, into her worst nightmare have her longing for the new start college will bring.

But college takes money. So Audrey decides she has to win the competition for the best app designed by a high schooler—and the $200,000 that comes with it. She develops something she calls the Boyfriend App, and suddenly she’s the talk of the school and getting kissed by the hottest boys around. But can the Boyfriend App bring Audrey true love?

I think this sounds really cute and not somethingyou read about often. It sounds a little predictable but still a cute little book I can't wait to read.

My 2013 Goals

So for the last few years I have promised to come back to blogging since I missed it a lot. Even though new year resolutions are hard to actually to do I will try to at least follow through on a few of these.

My first goal (aka my most important)
Publish at least once a month . I have honestly hardly posted int he last few years and this year in a few days is my fifth blogoversery and I would love to revive my blog.

My second goal
Read all the books I own and haven't read even though I have some of them for years. I will be leaving for college this year and would love to read all the books I own before going off to college.

Third Goal (A non bookish goal)
Finish high school with a bang and let college be a new beginning to a hopefully a great college career.

Fourth Goal
Read 150 books this last year I read 140 but I had many distractions so I am hoping this year I can keep up with my last few years reading history. I am hoping in college I have time to read as many books as I like while having good grades and a social life.

This list is ongoing and may change in the future.

My Favoite Books of 2012

2102 wasn't the greatest reading year for but I still managed to read several great books. So it's now my time to honor all the amazing authors and books that came out in 2012. I would like to honor a few of favorites in no particular order.

1.  The Hunger Game Series

I was finally able to read these after hearing from many bloggers how amazing the books are. I would like to confess though I have yet to finish Mocking Jay for I read a spoiler and couldn't finish the book knowing what happened. So maybe in 2013 I will finish the book

2. 7 Clues to Winning You by Kristin Walker

3. The Night She Disappeared by April Henry

4. Smart Girls Get What They Want by Sarah Strohmeyer

5. The Summer My Life Began by Shannon Greenland

6. My Life in Black and White by Natasha White

7. 52 Reasons to Hate My Father by Jessica Brody

8. One Moment by Kristina McBride

9. The Almost Truth by Eileen Cook

I loved this book and read in like 2 hours which was really fast for me this past year. I love Eileen Cook's books and have loved all of them. I got mad at the ending and hope their is a sequel to this one and many more by Cook.

10. Who I Kissed by Janet Gurtler

This had a different plot line that I thoroughly enjoyed. The novel discussed competitive swimming which is something I have been doing for almost 10 years and grief. The novel worked and I really it.

I read many more great books and these are just a few I really enjoyed.
I would like to comment can you tell my favorite genre of books from my list.

2013, I hope you are great reading year with many amazing books to come.
