My Favorite Books of 2011

I read a lot of great books this year so this is really hard but here is a list of some of my favorites (not in any order)

1. The Naughty List and So Many Boys by Suzanne Young

These books are something different than a usual book but are still cute. Honestly I read these in January, and remember loving them even though I remember very little about it, which is kinda sad. I do remember them spying on boyfriends to see if they are cheating.

2. Where the Truth Lies by Jessica Warman

I love Jessica Warman's books. I haven't found one I haven't liked. Her book Between is great too. I recommend any of her books.

3. The Education of Emily Kendrick by Eileen Cook

I loved this book. The book was so cute and had a great premise to it.

4. Here Lies Bridget by Paige Harbison

I love Paige and she has a new book coming out soon that I cannot wait to read. A girl going back and kooking at what a witch she was in life.

5. Where I Belong by Gwendolyn Heasey

Yes, this is a typical rich girl gone poor, but this one felt different for some reason.

6. The Exile of Gigi Lane by Adrienne Marie Vrettos

This is exactly my kind of favorite books. I was a little weird but was totally awesome at the same time.

7. My Life Undecided by Jessica Brody

Jessica's books are so good. What is not to like about a girl giving up and having a blog decide her life. Read her other book The Karma Club to if you haven't already, it's also very good.

8. Love Inc by Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout

Such a cute book about girls creating there own business setting people up and hopping for love themselves.

9. Model: A Memoir by Cheryl Diamond

I have had this book on my bookshelf for a like 2 years and finally got to it this year. It was really good, and is all about the rise of Cheryl Diamonds modeling. The ending is kind of sad, I was so into the book and didn't see the ending at all.

10. Past Perfect by Leila Sales

So good. It's about two war reenactment villages competing against each other and the main character falls in love with a guy from the other village which is a total no-no. Read this its really good

Other great books
Rhymes with Cupid by Anna Humpry
Babe in Boyland by Jody Gerham
Wither by Lauren DeStfano
Glimmerglass and Shadowspell by Jenna Black
Bunheads by Sophie Flack
I'm Not Her by Janet Gurtler

I read so many good books this year, this was hard to decide. I could have so many more books. And can anyone tell my favorite genre of books?

Waiting On Wednesday

Deadly Cool by Jemma Halliday
Released: October 11 ,2011

Hartley Grace Featherstone is having a very bad day. First she finds out that her boyfriend is cheating on her with the president of the Herbert Hoover High School Chastity Club. Then he's pegged as the #1 suspect in a murder. And if that weren't enough, now he's depending on Hartley to clear his name. Seriously? Not cool. But as much as Hartley wouldn't mind seeing him squirm, she knows he's innocent, and she's the only one who can help him. Along with her best friend, Sam, and the school's resident Bad Boy, Chase, Hartley starts investigating on her own. But as the dead bodies begin to pile up, the mystery deepens, the suspects multiply, and Hartley begins to fear that she may be the killer's next victim.

This book sounds so good. Murder and mystery some of my favorite kinds of book. So excited

Courage In Patience by Beth Fehlbaum

After six years of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse from her stepfather, 14-year-old Ashley finally finds the courage to reveal the painful details of her experiences with her mother, who refuses to acknowledge the problem and turns her back on her daughter. After confiding in her teacher?the only adult whom Ashley can trust?she is removed from her home and sent to live with her father and his second wife, Beverly, an English teacher. Nurtured by Beverly, an extraordinarily positive influence in her life, Ashley and a summer school class of troubled teens learn to face their fears and discover who they really are.
Courage In Patience is a very touching book about a child going through sexual abuse and just wanting to get away from the abuse.
Ashley the main character is a strong but weak character, she is strong enough to go through the pain of abuse but weak that she cannot endure the pain after all the abuse is done. The other character like her mom and stepdad are just selfish people who really shouldn't be parents. The characters were from a wide range of personalties but made the story complex.
The plot interesting and touching, It got a little confusing when random characters started narrating but mostly it was good. Ashley tells her teacher about the sexual abuse from her stepdad Charlie, and is placed to live with her dad who she has never seen. I didn't really get the plot but could understand the plot and the main message that sexual abuse is dangerous and really messes with you.
Overall the characters are weird but good and the plot is interesting and tells a good story.
